My Packet Referee List page

This page enables the Candidate or Proxy to provide a list of referees to be contacted by your AP Generalist. Remember to click Save after adding names to this list.

Intramural and extramural referees are individuals who can speak to your professional work; they must be at the equivalent of your proposed rank or higher. Intramural means from UCSF; extramural means from any other institution or hospital, including from other UC campuses. Teaching/Mentoring referees are students, trainees, or mentees who can give an assessment of your teaching and mentoring work.

If you have trouble with this page, send your list of referees to your AP Generalist; he/she will enter them into the APA References page, and you will be able to review them on your Referee List page.

Notable features and constraints:

• Add as many reference names as you feel is necessary for your AP Generalist to gather responses in support of your proposed academic action.
  • Save often
• The field length is limited to 100 characters; if you paste more than 100 characters, you will receive an error when you try to save.
  • If you receive an error, you will need to reduce the length of the entry in those fields noted in the error before you can save
• Your Chair has the ultimate say in who gets contacted to provide a reference in support of your proposed academic action. He/She can:
  • Provide the names of additional referees to your AP Generalist
  • Disallow contacting some referees that you have provided
