Custom CV

The Custom CV allows you to create a version of your UCSF CV that may include only a few of the sections of your UCSF CV. The intent is to enable you to create a CV that is shorter than a full CV and may be more appropriate when a CV is needed for a conference or a speaking engagement.

Features of the Custom CV include:

• Pick one or more sections from the UCSF CV to include in a Custom CV
• Name the Custom CV so you can recognize it in the future
• Modify the look of the General Information section
• Within each section you've picked for your Custom CV you can:
  • Select the items you want to include (deselect items not appropriate for the intended use)
  • Change the Header text
  • Reorganize items
  • Create subheaders and organize items within those subheaders
  • Opt for a display that is "comma delimited" - this removes the table look and presents items in strings separated by commas
• Within the overall CV you can:
  • Create one or more Custom sections so you can:
    • Include a descriptive paragraph at the beginning of the CV
    • Group items from the UCSF into a custom section; examples include:
      • Create a Selected Publications section that includes appropriate Peer Reviewed, Books, and Review Articles
      • Create a Relevant Experience section that includes some items from Principal Positions Held and some from Other Positions Held Concurrently
    • Include items that are not part of your UCSF CV
  • Reorganize the sections within the CV
