Candidate Mgmt - Packet - Manage Vote

The Manage Vote page is used to solicit a vote (Approve; Disapprove; Abstain) from each departmental faculty member who is at a rank (Associate or Full) equal to or higher than the rank proposed for the candidate in the Academic Review Packet. For some packets, a vote is not enabled in Advance; in these cases, when the department Chair wants a tally from the faculty, the "vote" must be executed outside of Advance.

When a vote is enabled for the packet, the page will:

• Display the names of those faculty who, by their title, are eligible to vote
• Set the Vote Due Date to 14 days in the future
• Enable the Generalist to
  • Mark as ineligible any faculty on the voter list who has an obvious conflict including siblings, spouses, etc.
  • Execute a mass change to the Vote Due Date
  • Change individual voter due dates
  • Send for Vote

The Send for Vote process will generate an email to the voter asking that they go into Advance, review the packet, and record their vote.
